DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
Provide data storage management and infrastructure management support for a US.
Government data center. Manage all EMC based data in this data center. Tasking will
include but not be limited to:
- Configuring Ionix Control Center (ECC) console alerts and monitoring thresholds
- Perform ECC console and SYMCLI administration duties including space allocation,
meta design, and masking for MS Exchange clusters, MS Cluster with SQL, MS Cluster
- Redesign existing space with symconfigure scripts per customer request.
- Integrate Windows 2008 and Solaris servers into SAN including HBA installation,
on-site cable installation, agent install, storage allocation, zoning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform Microsoft Cluster with Exchange 2000 disk performance monitoring with WLA.
- Troubleshoot, design, and configure Solaris and Windows servers in a boot off SAN
environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
|
- Installation, management, and troubleshooting of large data storage systems (>50TBs)
- Extensive experience and expertise with EMC Symmetrix VMAX (DMX)
- Extensive experience and expertise with Ionix ControlCenter
- Extensive experience in ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Demonstrated experience with: Windows 2008 server, Windows Clustering, Exchange,
IIS, SQL, Compaq Servers, Dell servers, Emulex, Brocade 24000, Cisco 9216i, FCIP,
Clariion, Sun Servers, Solaris OS, SYMCLI, VSS, WLA, Widesky, Storagescope, Timefinder,
SRDF/A, SRDF/S, Symmetrix Optimizer, enginuity, ESCON, WLA, EMC DMC 3000, DMX3,
ESCON/FICON, IBM mainframe, symmerge, STP, Z/OS.
